Release v1.7.8
Bump the workspace version to 1.7.8 and cut the changelog entry for it. Every crate inherits the version from [workspace.package], so sigit and sigit-agent move together; Cargo.lock follows the two of them. The entry covers the headless --mcp-tools-only flag, the official MCP reconnect on an account change, and the release-infrastructure work that landed since v1.7.7 without a tag: the glibc 2.17 Linux floor, the packaging/ move, the winget Package Request reuse, and the runner images. Co-Authored-By: siGit Code v1.7.7-acp <noreply@sigit.si>

# Changelog
2
3
+## 1.7.8
4
+
5
+A headless mode that exposes only MCP tools, and a fix for the official MCP
6
+server after an account change. No protocol change, so an editor sees a
7
+1.7.7-shaped agent.
8
+
9
+### Added
10
+
11
+- **`sigit run -p ... --mcp-tools-only` runs headless with MCP tools only.** The
12
+ built-in tools are not offered to the model, so a script or sandbox runner
13
+ can limit a run to the tools its MCP servers provide.
14
+
15
+### Fixed
16
+
17
+- **The official MCP server reconnects when the signed-in account changes.**
18
+ Before, a session kept the connection opened under the previous account until
19
+ siGit Code restarted.
20
+
21
+### Changed
22
+
23
+- Linux release binaries are built against glibc 2.17 on ubuntu-24.04, so they
24
+ run on older distributions.
25
+- The npm, PyPI and NuGet wrappers moved under `packaging/`.
26
+- The winget job reuses an open Package Request and fails on an unexpected
27
+ status instead of filing another.
28
+- The Actions, Code Assurance and QA runner images are built and published from
29
+ this repository.
