Objectives

  • Establish Hugo frontend with PaperMod theme (Issue #3)
  • Define RSS output path (Issue #4)
  • Set up CI/CD deployment

Accomplishments

  1. Hugo Frontend Setup (Issue #3)

    • Selected and integrated PaperMod theme as baseline MVP frontend
    • Configuration: hugo.toml, content/, data/, themes/PaperMod
    • Provided responsive blog-style layouts, taxonomies, RSS, and built-in search

  2. RSS Path Decision (Issue #4)

    • Kept Hugo's built-in RSS output path (/index.xml)
    • Did not add custom feed.xml alias (kept MVP lean)
    • Navigation, archive, and weekly report presentation via Hugo layouts
    • Generated markdown remains primary source of truth

  3. Deployment Infrastructure

    • Created .github/workflows/deploy-site.yml
    • Integrated with Hugo build pipeline

Design Principles Applied

  • Generators target Hugo defaults without customization
  • Future feed aliases remain optional
  • No Node-based frontend toolchain overhead
