# Contributor License Agreement |

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Siti AI ("the Project"), |
|

maintained by **Splitfire AB** ("we", "us"). |
|

This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") clarifies the intellectual |
|

|
property license granted with Contributions from any person or entity. By |
|

|
submitting a Contribution to the Project (for example, via a pull request), You |
|

|
accept and agree to the following terms for Your present and future |
|

Contributions. |

This Agreement is adapted from the widely used Apache Software Foundation |
|

|
Individual Contributor License Agreement and is intended to be simple and fair. |

## 1. Definitions |

- **"You" / "Your"** means the individual or legal entity making a Contribution. |
|

|
- **"Contribution"** means any original work of authorship, including any |
|

|
modifications or additions to existing work, that You intentionally submit to |
|
20
|
the Project for inclusion in, or documentation of, the Project. |
|

|
- **"Submit"** means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication |
|
22
|
sent to the Project, including but not limited to pull requests, issues, and |
|
23
|
comments, excluding communication conspicuously marked "Not a Contribution." |
|

## 2. Copyright license |

You grant to Splitfire AB and to recipients of software distributed by the |
|

|
Project a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, |
|

|
irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, |
|

|
publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute Your |
|

|
Contributions and such derivative works. |
|

This license includes the right for Splitfire AB to license the Contribution, |
|

|
including under the Project's open-source license |
|

([Apache-2.0](LICENSE)) **and** under separate commercial terms. You retain all |
|

|
right, title, and interest in Your Contributions; this Agreement is a license, |
|

|
not an assignment. |

## 3. Patent license |

You grant to Splitfire AB and to recipients of the Project a perpetual, |
|

|
worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated |
|

in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, |
|

|
import, and otherwise transfer Your Contribution, where such license applies |
|
45
|
only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by |
|

|
Your Contribution alone or by combination of Your Contribution with the Project. |

## 4. Your representations |

You represent that: |

- You are legally entitled to grant the above licenses. |
|

- Each of Your Contributions is Your original creation, or You have the rights to |
|

submit it. |
|

- If Your employer has rights to intellectual property You create, You have |
|

|
received permission to make Contributions on behalf of that employer, or Your |
|

|
employer has waived such rights for Your Contributions. |
|

- Your Contributions do not, to Your knowledge, violate any third party's |
|

|
copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights. |

## 5. Third-party material |

If You submit work that is not Your original creation, You will identify it and |
|

its source and any license or restriction You are aware of, and clearly mark it |
|

(for example, "Submitted on behalf of a third party: [name]"). |

## 6. No warranty |

Contributions are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. You are not |
|

expected to provide support for Your Contributions, except to the extent You |

desire to. |
