v1.7.0

Stacked pull requests, GitLab and Bitbucket, and Unlimited reviews

v1.7.0 is the first release in a while that is not about siGit Code Review alone. Most of it is work on the forge itself.

Stacked pull requests

A pull request can now sit on top of another one. Each pull request in a stack targets the head branch of the one below it, so a reviewer reads one small diff at a time while the whole change stays connected. When you open a pull request you can choose to stack it, and every pull request in a stack shows where it sits in the chain.

Stacks merge from the bottom up. Merging the bottom pull request moves the next one onto the base branch and rebases the rest. The same operations are available to agents through the MCP server.

Import from GitLab and Bitbucket

The import page now has GitLab and Bitbucket next to GitHub. Connect your account, pick repositories, and choose whether to migrate them once or keep them as mirrors that stay in sync. A self-managed GitLab instance works too.

You can also sign in and sign up with "Continue with GitLab" and "Continue with Bitbucket".

siGit Code Unlimited

Reviews and chat used to share one allowance, and when it ran out, reviews paused. For a team that pushes all day that always happened before the end of the month. Unlimited removes the pause:

  • $30 per pull request author per month.
  • Reviews never pause and never draw from the cloud allowance.
  • Each seat includes 2,000 cloud requests for chat and the agent, pooled across the subscription.
  • Past fair use, reviews still run and still post, one model tier down. The billing page tells you when that has happened and how many reviews it affected.

It is on the Code Review page and on your billing page.

Change your username

The username field in Settings is editable. Your old profile links and git remotes stop working after a rename, and the old name becomes available to others, so the form says so before you save. Repositories do not move on disk.

Projects, over the API

Projects are boards of work items with custom fields. This release ships the data model and a JSON API under /api/v1/projects, and no pages yet. The web interface comes later; the API is there now so the desktop app and agents can build on it.

Every account also gets a personal workspace, which is where its projects live.

siGit Code Cloud Agent, as a pilot

Mention the siGit Code GitHub App on an issue and it can clone the repository, do the work with headless siGit Code, and open a draft pull request. Mention it on a pull request and it pushes to that branch instead. There is also a REST API under /api/v1/agent/runs to start, list and cancel runs.

This is switched off by default and is not open to customers yet. We are running it on our own repositories first, on dedicated runners, to learn what the hosted version needs.
