v1.7.10

Cloud Agent runs check their work and write for reviewers

v1.7.10 changes what a Cloud Agent run hands back, based on what the first runs on real repositories got wrong.

Runs check their work the way CI does

A run used to test only the files it touched, so a change could pass in the sandbox and fail on the pull request. The agent now reads the repository's CI configuration before it finishes, runs the full test suite and the linters, fixes what fails and runs them again. If a check cannot run in the sandbox, the summary names the check and says why. The agent may also start a service its checks need, such as a database, inside the sandbox. The service stores its data under /tmp and stops when the run ends. Installing toolchains is still not allowed.

The summary is a pull request description

The agent's final message becomes the pull request description, but it used to read as a reply to the person who asked: commit hashes that no longer matched once the platform signed the commits, "ready to push" on a pull request that was already open, and notes about the working tree. It now says what changed, why, and how it was checked, without hashes. On an existing pull request, the same message is posted as the update comment.

Cloud Agent is in private beta

The Cloud Agent page and the siGit Code page no longer say "coming soon". They describe the agent as it works today, and the call to action is now "Request beta access".
